I took my parents to Kashmir last year and saved almost 70% on our expenses using credit cards from HDFC and Axis

I will breakdown it for you

I used my Axis atlas and Magnus credit card to transfer points to Club Vistara from where I booked 1 return ticket to Srinagar
Del-Srinagar is 4500 points one side

I used my HDFC credit card points to book flight tickets for my parents.
Paid for flight: Rs 6000, points used: 16000 points from HDFC

Stayed 3 nights in Heevan hotel group who are managing few hotels of ITC group in Kashmir and another couple nights in 4-star properties.
ITC was booked using ITC green points which I earned and transferred from Axis Magnus credit card, and rest were booked via HDFC redeeming 70% of points

Booked hotels from HDFC smartbuy portal where we can redeem and earn Reward points at accelerated rate (33%)
